My research areas range from classical Chinese philosophy to classical Chinese literature. Within the area of Literature, I‘m interested in Han (206 B.C.-A.D.220) and Six dynasties (A.D.220-587) period, particularly in the anecdotical works of Han times and their subsequent legacy. I’m currently researching on the humoristic features of zhiren xiaoshuo 志人小説 (records of personalities) of Six Dynasties period.
